Festival Fashion – Part 1

Bring on the music, boho fashion and sun!  Festival season is upon us and you may be asking yourself “what is festival fashion?”  Well, we have you covered.

Being this is a 2-part post, we’ll be covering the pre-shop before I head off to Hangout Fest and what I decided to pack/wear while actually attending the 3-day music festival.

I was on the hunt for bohemian-chic and most of all, effortless. Since this particular fest is in a tropical [ish] atmosphere, I needed light, airy pieces and layers.  I also knew I could take a few more risks and add more color than I normally would [festivals are the absolute best place to try fun and new styles].

Knot Sisters Java Dress

I had my eye on this dress from the moment it landed in the shop.  Its light, has amazing color combos and the print is flawless! *Spoiler alert* this was a no-brainer purchase for me and I have already sported my new piece at work, of all places!  Layered with leather leggings, a long-sleeve shirt underneath and the compliments came flowing in.

Driftwood Embroidered Denim

I cannot believe how much I adore these.  They’re so spunky! And relaxed! I’m thinking I’ll sport these with a simple white tank and white Birkenstocks.  Going for the casual-cool look with this combo.

For a more dressed up look, pair with some peep-toe booties and a blousy top.  Also a no-brainer purchase for me!

Chaser Jumpsuit & Velvet Heart Jean Jacket

Ladies, this jumpsuit is like silk on your skin!  I swear it’s like wearing the most flattering and soft pajamas with a sexy bonus; you’ll look freaking amazing!  Sometimes jumpsuits/rompers can look a little overboard for me but not this one! The distressed material really tones it down and let me repeat, it is so comfortable!  If you’re at all skeptical about jumpsuits, this is the ultimate starter piece. And come on, the jean jacket is just a necessity! It’s layered, distressed and fits beautifully.

I swear the pre-shop for a vacation is almost as fun as the vacation itself.  Almost…

Stay tuned for part 2 of this series to find out what else I took home and how I styled myself for 3 days of music!  This is our first [longer period] time away from our little one so wish us [ok, really just me] luck!

Hugs,

Ashley
